Central Coast Amateur Radio Club Annual Field Day

After the huge success of the 2008 Field Day, the CCARC Field Day for 2009 will be held on:

Sunday 8 February 2009

Where

Once again the CCARC Hamfest will be held at the Wyong Race Course on the Central Coast. For directions by road go to our maps.

Entry fee

$10 per adult and children 17 years and under are free.

Exhibitors

The exhibitors area will open for trading from 9:00am on Sunday. Access to this area before then will be restricted to CCARC Field Day officials and authorised traders.

Fleamarket

For those who wish to sell their own equipment, trestles will be available and open boot or tailgate sales may be conducted in the Flea Market. Trading commences at 8:00am.
Note that the Flea Market is not under cover, and as such traders in the Flea Market may need to provide protection for their display in the case of adverse weather.

Radio Station VK2WFD

An Amateur Radio Station (VK2WFD) will be operating both HF and VHF on the Field Day. A good opportunity to show non-amateurs what our hobby is about.

Parking

There is a large car park within the grounds of the racecourse. In the event of extended wet weather some of the internal car park may be cordoned off by the Race Club to prevent damage to the surface, thus resricting the available parking spaces. There is additional parking in the nearby streets and at Wyong Railway Station car park which is on both sides of Wyong Railway Station 150M to the south of the race course entrance

Catering

As usual the free tea, coffee and chat area will operate but this time in a new bigger location commencing at 9:30am. The various food outlets providing hot and cold sit down or take away food will also operate as usual. The Ground floor bistro will be open early Sunday morning for early arrivals and can be accessed from the car park Bistro entrance.
