Just a quick post to let everyone know that the club project group is in the process of building software defined radios. The group meets very Tuesday night at the clubhouse in Kariong.

One of the Doner Cavities
Don (VK2ZCZ) and myself, Ian (VK2HK) are currently working on producing our own 6Mtr Cavity Filters to be used with the clubs repeater (VK2RAG) and have acquired some doner cavities and purchased some aluminium tubing to make our own. As the project has only recently started please keep checking this post for all the information on the success or failures as we proceed, We hope to be able to post all the information including printouts of the results from the analyser as well as photos and dimensions etc of the cavities.
The photo to the left is one of the doner cavities we used for the making of our 6Mtr cavities.
