1. VK2RAG 6m repeater operational

As you will have seen from the special announcement sent out on Thursday night the clubs 6m repeater was due to go live this weekend. It was actually already fully operational with the link to the 70cm repeater on Friday and relayed the WIA/ARNSW news broadcasts today (Sunday).

Well done and thanks again to all involved in making this happen!

2. CCARC ILLW Team 2012.

Due to the limited number of places available at Nobbys Head lighthouse, I asked earlier this month for those able and interested in supporting the clubs entry into the International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend (ILLW) in August to let me know by March 31^st.

The resulting team are as follows (note two are conditional, but hope to attend if in the country):

This event is being run as a joint action with the Helenic Amateur Radio Association of Australia (HARAOA) and is not a contest rather an event to promote Lighthouse preservation and the hobby of Amateur Radio.

3. New Jaycar catalogue released.

Australia’s largest small component supplier used by most Radio Amateurs for their construction projects, Jaycar has just released their 2012 Catalogue. Obtainable from any Jaycar store or online at jacar.com.au for A$3.95.
