3. AR exempt from new NSW mobile phones in cars rules.
The recently distributed new road rules for NSW laid down stricter rules about use of mobile phones in cars along with some other changes. There was an exemption to adherence for emergency vehicles however no clear statement about the use of Amateur Radio equipment. Thankfully the details on the NSW government website do cover this please refer to:
The key statement is “mobile phone does not include a CB radio or any other two-way radio”
