1. New electronic construction project starts at the club.
Friday night saw the start of yet another construction project at the club. This time it’s a frequency counter with 10 members having bought the kit and starting assembly. The group is led by Sam VK2ZZ but this is not a race to finish (but it would be nice to have these units finished before the new year). Whether assembling at the club or at home, these actions give the opportunity to get out from under the family’s feet at the busy Christmas holiday time.
The next show and tell projects group meeting will now be in the new year and hopefully most if not all of these kits will have been assembled, so we can see if there are any different reading from these identical kits. (As you’ll see from the last 2 pictures, Jim VK2LC, has already completed the kit).

2. Boat Anchor Show & Tell on 1st. December at the club rooms.
If you were at the club rooms on Saturday you will have seen some very interesting equipment – if not some pictures are below:

3. December Social meeting this coming Wednesday – 5th. December.
As usual this month Bob VK2PEP will be opening up the club rooms at about 10:30 for a social get together during the day, finishing at around 4pm.

4. Christmas lunch next Saturday!
Next Saturday sees the annual Christmas lunch for the CCARC and WICEN. This is a joint event again this year and we expect a full room as usual. Please get to the club rooms at Kariong at around 11am for a 12 noon start. The monthly WICEN meeting will follow the festive lunch from 2pm.
