1. Wyong Field Day covered in latest Amateurlogic.tv program “Routing Wyong Arduinolator”.
Episode 51- March 2013 of Amateurlogic.tv features our very own Wyong Field Day 2013.

2. John Moyle Contest – don’t forget to give the VK2EH/P team a call!
Mt Allyn in the Barrington Tops National Park, is alive with RF this weekend, with Dave (VK2JDH), Col (VK2KCM), family and friends representing the CCARC in the John Moyle Field Day contest, so PLEASE take the time out to give Col or Dave a call on 6m, 2m or 70cm SSB ( .150 on each band) and possibly the HF bands. The Contest finishes at 11:59 am Sunday 17th. March – so HURRY UP ! When you find them, please spot them on the DX Clusters as well, so the rest of us can see where VK2EH/P is and join the queue to work them!
3. Amateur Radio featured in leading US sitcom show “Last man Standing” – This Sunday night.
Last Man Standing with Tim Allen as KA0XTT is now well into its second series of shows and there have been “snatches” of pictures of radio gear. Tonight’s series 2 edition 17 features a QSO between (Tim Allen’s character) Mike’s daughter Mandy (played by Molly Ephraim), where she gets her cell phone taken away as punishment. Mandy discovers Mike’s home shack in the basement and uses ham radio to make friends faraway. Don’t expect technical perfection – this is aimed at “Jo Public” after all. This edition of the show will be transmitted on Fox 8 in Australia, on Sunday 17th March at 8pm. “Free-to-air” Channel 10 are also running the show but they don’t indicate which series/edition they are up to in their TV program, so I suspect they are some editions behind Fox 8.
4. NEW (Russian valve equipped) Kilowatt HF Linear amplifier at this weeks project meeting.
The sparks may fly! When Jim VK2LC demonstrates his NEW (Russian valve equipped) Kilowatt HF Linear amplifier at this week Projects meeting. 19:30 Friday 22nd March at the club rooms at Kariong.
5. Field day meeting next Saturday.
23rd March, 13:00 at the club rooms at Kariong we meet to have a “lessons learned” and new ideas meeting for next years field day. Come along with your comments and suggestions for improvements. Do you think we should run events over the two day weekend, not just the addition on the Mini Contest University as we had this year but other events on the Saturday as well. Perhaps a Foundation course? Perhaps a fox hunt? Perhaps practical construction classes? We need to keep ahead of the competition , so we need to find something to make next years event more interesting and attract more amateurs from further afield (as you’ll see from point 1. above, we already have world-wide publicity!).
5. Broke & fixed.
