1. Update on WIA PR4AR event next year
The WIA is now starting to formulate their plans for advertising Amateur Radio coinciding with the WIA national field day. Details from the WIA can be found here:

And are being updated as the plans grow.
Do you think the CCARC should take part? If so is there anything “different” that we can do to attract people from the Central Coast into our great hobby?

2. CCARC PICNIC and Radio on Saturday.
Rather than heading for Kariong on Saturday, make sure you head up to Mt. Elliot where we are all gathering to ‘activate’ this Summits on the Air peak using the club VK2AFY call sign. This wont just be a radio event however as we should take advantage of the nice park and facilities. Self-Catering – please bring your own food for the coin operated BBQs or bring cold food and bring your own drinks, salad, cake or whatever. Most importantly bring along family and friends and your picnic blanket / chairs.
This intended to be as much a social event as a radio one.
We’ll be there from about 9am to 1pm and eat in the park from about noon.

Doug VK2MDC is looking for operators the Scout’s Jamboree on the Air on the 19th. and 20th. of October (at East Gosford scout hall). Please contact Doug if you can help with this events.
