1. Upcoming Meetings
The next Field Day Planning Meeting will be on this Saturday the 2nd August starting at 1100 hrs followed by a tasty BBQ lunch at 1230 hrs
Following will be the next monthly Business Meeting starting at 1330 hrs. All are invited to attend.
The next Two Monthly Wicen Meeting will be on this Saturday the 9th August starting at 1300 hrs.
2. Remembrance Day Contest
The CCARC will take part in this years RD contest from the club rooms on the 16th-17th. August . Doug VK2MDC would like to operate for the full 24 hours through to the 17th. of August however he will need support from a class A operator if he is to be able to run the full power using the club linear. Please contact Doug if you are interested in taking part in this club event.
N.B. The RD contest this year again coincides with the International Lighthouse & Lightship Weekend.
Ed DD5LP (VK2JI) might, just might, have his home station set up by then to give the club station a call.
3. Temporary Reassignment of Commercial Services into 70cm
The ACMA have now advised that, as part of the ongoing 400MHz band plan review, it will be necessary to temporary move some commercial services into the 442.5 -444MHz and 446.5-448MHz segments of the 70cm band.

4. Review of legislation affecting radio amateurs
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) proposes to remake an important piece of regulation that affects all radiocommunications licensees holding Aparatus licences – which includes radio amateurs, broadcasters, land mobile operators etc – and has put out a call for feedback on its proposal.

5. Bandplans Review
The WIA has commenced a review of the Australian Amateur Radio Bandplans.
