Obtaining a US licence is most affordable, and simplifies operation while travelling in the US.
Apart from knowledge, gained from many online or other resources, candidates need the following: a US address (a friend’s, or family one; or Shopmate), an FRN from the FCC CORES site using this address, and any existing US licence or CSCE, plus pencils, an eraser, a pen, ID, and a non-programmable calculator (not part of a ‘phone). The fee is US$15 or $23 (subject to rates).
