With upcoming activities and additional restrictions in place, unfortunately the club will be unable to run as multi operator, single station for the upcoming Remembrance Day contest.

The club’s executive team is considering a similar approach to ARNSW for dedicated HF operating nights, but placing the emphasis on those who are just coming into the hobby and may not have stations setup at their QTH. Further logistics are being discussed.

A reminder that annual club membership is due for renewal. Please contact the club’s treasurer if you are unsure of your membership status. The club thanks those who have renewed

The club held their monthly general business meeting yesterday both in person at the club rooms and via teleconference link, the club thanks those who participated

With some changes to internal infrastructure, we may have some difficulties with performing effective video conferencing, however, the club will work with the resources available on the day.

The Clubs Annual General Meeting is being held on the 15th of August 2020.

The Annual General Meeting will be available both via face to face on the club premise and via Video Conference where details will be supplied closer to the date.

Position nomination forms have been distributed to the club’s email distribution list and are also available from the clubrooms.

At Present, Social distancing mandates a maximum of 10 occupants within the club’s primary meeting room and 4 occupants within the club radio room.

Pending weather, the club will try to accommodate external parties within the undercover area outside via video link, however, space will be limited under the four-square meter rule

The club wishes to say a special thanks to Bob VK2AOR for hosting the “Are you okay” net at 10am each day, on the VK2RAG repeater on 146.725MHz. This was a concept that was formed after the clubs Thursday evening net and has now grown into a significant achievement; After the club’s previous announcement, a further consensus was taken regarding the future of daily nets.

At this point, the nets will still continue, however subject to net control availability.

The Club’s Thursday evening net this week was facilitated by Alan VK2MG. The topic of the evening was, “Latest happenings and interests”

This net ran for around 2 hours with some discussions of power supplies, building magnetic loop building and making one operator who made a successful contact into Spain on QRP in the 40-meter band. The new sunspot cycle seems to have started early with some great propagation reports coming in.

The Thursday evening net is held on the VK2RAG 2 Metre repeater, on 146.725Mhz; If you’re within range of our repeater, why not drop by?

Remember, you can view the live stream of the Thursday evening net from the club’s Facebook page, or join in via Echo link using the *CCARCNSW* conference server and more recently via IRLP reflector 9509.
