Despite some travel and visitation restrictions being eased in New South Wales, access to the club rooms are closed and all future face to face activities are still on hold until further notice.

The club’s executive team has announced the first online business meeting will be held on Saturday the 16th May. Details have been sent to club members

The club continues to work on the Brandmeister based DMR MMDVM repeater system and a recently performed a Hardware Upgrade on the controller, work continues on this.

The Club wishes to pass their condolences for Timothy Mills VK2ZTM SK and are thinking of Tim’s Family and ARNSW during these times.

The Club was recently approached by Jay – KE6GLA of the El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club to facilitate a combined IRLP Net between both club repeaters. They had 20 stations who partook in the net including a high school student Austin KN6HZM who had only just recently obtained his licence and our club members were the first international contacts for him. A memorable moment. The club wishes to thank those who participated in the net and hope to connect again in the future.

Are you looking at obtaining or upgrading your current licence? The Clubs education facilitator Karen VK2AKB is an AMC Level 3 assessor and the club has the capability to perform remote education and assessment sessions. If you are interested, please reach out to Karen by emailing education@ccarc.org.au

The Club have set a tentative date of Sunday the 28th February for the 2021 Wyong Field Day So mark that down into your calendars.

The Club hosts a Morning Tea net at 10:00 AM each day. Grab a cuppa and come along for a chat. We would like to thank Bob VK2AOR for running this net for over 35 days now. Absolutely amazing!

The club also runs a weekly Thursday evening net starting at 8:00 PM with varying topics of discussion each week

Both nets are available via the VK2RAG 2 Meter repeater 146.725Mhz
