Central Coast Amateur Radio Club News – December 11, 2022
The club rooms at Kariong are currently closed for the Christmas/New Year break. They will re-open on
January 14.
Mayham for 2023 has been postponed and will not be run. The group are refocusing and realigning the
direction of the event and hope to return in 2024.
The second “Christmas Ham” event ended last Friday. Congratulations to P.B. (ticket number #13) who won a very nice looking 3-D printer. The third “Christmas Ham” event has been postponed until first quarter next year.
At the VK2RAG Somersby repeater site, the D-Star, Rad-Net DMR and 2m Echolink services are fully
functional. Brand Meister DMR and 70cm Echolink and IRLP are still on the sick list. 23cm is temporarily
down.
The club Web SDR at Somersby. Websdr.ccarc.org.au is configured to listen on 6 metres, 2 metres, 70
centimetres and 23 centimetres.
The Morning Tea Net is held on weekdays at 10:00am.
The Thursday evening net is held at 8:00pm. This will be the last weekly net for this year. We’ll be back in
the new year.
The Morning Tea and Thursday night nets are held on the VK2RAG repeater – 146.725 MHz with 91.5Hz
tone, and on echolink through the HAM and CCARCNSW echolink conferences.
The Thursday night net is also video streamed live to the club’s Facebook page and recordings can be found in the “Videos” section.
