VK2EH is one of the call signs of the Central Coast Amateur Radio Club, based in Kariong & Somersby near Gosford on the central coast of New South Wales, Australia.
The VK2EH call sign is most often heard with suffix /P either in contests or for special events away from the club.
The club partipates in the 4 VHF/UHF field day contests, the John Moyle contest and the RD contest each year. As of 2011 we have also started supporting ILLW, activating Nobbys Head lighthouse in Newcastle, NSW. The call will be active again this year in the Jamboree on the air (JOTA) working with the Gosford District scouts.
The clubs other callsigns are VK2AFY – mostly used from the club shack in Kariong and VK2WFD used each year for the “Wyong Field Day” the largest amateur radio meeting in the southern hemisphere each February.
Other call signs operated by the CCARC are a range of repeaters running many different modes on several different bands from our Somersby repeater station under the call sign VK2RAG and other modes including ATV from the Kariong club rooms as VK2RTG.
