VHF/UHF FIELD DAY
Here are the details for this weekend’s CCARC involvement in this contest under the club call sign VK2EH/P.
Contest: WIA Summer VHF/UHF Field Day contest.
Date/time: the contest runs from Noon on Saturday 15th Jan to Noon on Sunday 16th Jan (local time).
Meet-up details: Location: Captain Cooks Lookout, off Del Monte Place, Copacabana, QF56QM Lat:33° 29′ South, Long:151°26′ East.
Time: Meet at 9:30-10:00am on Saturday 15th to assist with masts, tents and equipment set-up ready for contest start at Noon.
Duration: The contest can be entered as either a 24 hour 8 hour event. We will certainly operate from noon to 8pm and, depending upon how many people are available, hope to be able to continue through the night to Sunday noon, however we reserve the right to cut the action short if we feel that it’s not worthwhile, or we are unable to, operate through the night. This decision will be taken on the day.
Bands: 6m, 2m, 70cm &23cm will be operational. (If anyone wishes to add equipment and support for higher microwave bands please let us know).
