Central Coast Amateur Radio Club News – June 30,2024

The club rooms at Kariong are open on Saturdays from 10:30am. As always, members and visitors are most welcome.

Yesterday we held the monthly show & tell at the club rooms where we viewed some equipment for sale from a deceased estate and had Don VK2ZCZ give an informative talk on a pair of repeater modules similar to what we have deployed at VK2RAG.

Next week, July 6, will be the monthly business starting at 1pm preceded by a BBQ at midday. Details will be emailed to members during the week.

At the VK2RAG Somersby repeater site the 6m, D-Star, Rad-Net DMR, 2m Echolink, 70 and 23cm services are fully operational, as are the 2m and 70cm DMR and P25.

The Weekly net is run on Thursday night at 8:00pm on the VK2RAG repeater – 146.725MHz with a 91.5Hz sub-audible tone, and on the CCARCNSW and HAM Echolink conferences. It is also live video-streamed on the club’s facebook page.

You can find out more about the CCARC, our upcoming social events and other details that we can’t tell you about here on the web at ccarc.org.au, by phone on 02 4340 2500, or on social media by searching for “Central Coast Amateur Radio Club”. Remember to give the club a “like” to follow for any updates.

73, from Alan VK2MG
Publicity Officer, Central Coast Amateur Radio Club.
