1. Club special on soldering station

2. New shack PC.

We now have a more powerful Shack PC located at the operating position rather than in the back corner. This PC can be used to control the TS-590S and run digital modes, contest logging, DX Cluster, Grey line and other programs to assist operation. Thanks to Geoff VK2ZC for the new PC Hardware, to Tom VK2KTC for the RAM and Harddisk and to Ed, VK2ARE for the LCD monitor.

3. Panadapter as club project? Anyone interested?

A panadapter produces the waterfall display of the band (or part of a band) that you are operating on. This feature is usually only found on the most expensive amateur rigs or SDRs. It is possible however to add a panadapter to many rigs that don’t have this feature as standard and Chris has come across a kit that he is proposing as a club project.
