Central Coast Amateur Radio Club News – April 7,2024

The club rooms at Kariong are open on Saturdays from 10:30am. As always, members and visitors are most welcome.

It is with regret that we have to announce that we have to cancel the Wyong Field day this year. We had our venue cancel and have been unable to get a replacement site on short notice.

At the VK2RAG Somersby repeater site the 6m, D-Star, Rad-Net DMR, 2m Echolink, 70 and 23cm services are fully functional. The Tait module that was with the WICEN UHF MMDVM is having problems and has been replaced for the time being with a Quantar radio. Currently this repeater is only doing P25 and analogue.

The club Web SDR has been discontinued.

The Weekly net is run on Thursday night at 8:00pm on the VK2RAG repeater – 146.725MHz with a 91.5Hz sub-audible tone, and on the CCARCNSW and HAM Echolink conferences. It is also live video-streamed on the club’s facebook page.

You can find out more about the CCARC, our upcoming social events and other details that we can’t tell you about here on the web at ccarc.org.au, by phone on 02 4340 2500, or on social media by searching for “Central Coast Amateur Radio Club”. Remember to give the club a “like” to follow for any updates.

73, from Alan VK2MG
Publicity Officer, Central Coast Amateur Radio Club.
